“The ferry was pretty good, a little loud and shuddery at idle but its a big motor that's gotta punch that boat through some waves/weather. It rides well and has a kiosk with snacks. If you check the weather before you go (e.g. BOM Meteye) the side of the boat that will remain dry will be opposite of the wind direction, the windows will remain dry and you'll be able to have a better view. Surprisingly, the tour guide commentary during the journey down the Swan River was provided by a woman with a thick Spanish accent. Why the tour company believes this is appropriate is mind boggling. “Everything worked out perfectly! The jetty is very easy to get to from Perth (Rottnest Express) and the ferry was on time both ways. The journey via Swan river to Rottnest island was actually quite interesting and pleasant with commentary from the crew. The bikes were nice and were given on Rottnest island after disembarking. All perfect!”

“Such a great day! Everything was nice. The ferry ride (a little bumpy on the way out but pretty smooth on the way back) was pleasant. Sit toward the front of the boat so you can hear the speaker; the train/trolley on tracks was ok. It was loud but fine. Kids loved to ring the bell. The tour of the barracks was really interesting & great views & spots for pictures. The best part though was our bus driver/guide. I can’t remember her name but she was genuinely happy, funny & informative! I wish we had a few more minutes at stops. But our driver was fantastic. My only criticism…”

“Easy & convenient way to get to Rottnest with beautiful views along the way. We booked from Perth and the jetty was easy walking distance from our hotel. Seats were comfortable, there are food & drinks available for purchase, and a pod of dolphins played in our wake as we departed! We needed to change our return to Fremantle on the day and were able to do so easily by email with the operator.”

“Don’t miss this tour at Rottnest, it was so enjoyable. We had 2 lovely ladies. We toured around the island, we seen plenty of bird life and seals. The blue water and rock formations were very beautiful. Our lady skipper gave us such a fun thrill ride, jet speed over the waves, swirling and top it all off three sixties. It was just like a thrill ride at a theme park, everyone had fun tossing up their arms in the air, enjoying every minute. Thanks”
